Yes. Nickelodeon released a lot of the episodes on VHS and have only just started releasing episodes on DVD. Most of the episodes available on DVD are in compilation with episodes from other seasons (for example a Christmas themed DVD with all the Xmas episodes on) or other Nick shows.

[back]

What happens in the opening titles?
There are two versions of the opening credits. The original pre-2001 opening shows Tommy playing with a mechanical cat which Phil and Lil run around. Angelica is playing dress up with the adults clothes while Chuckie is riding the vaccum cleaner. All the while, Grandpa is asleep, not noticing what is going on. When Stu and Didi get home, Didi picks up Tommy and he squirts his milk towards the screen to form the Rugrats logo. In the episodes after 2001, Tommy and Dil are playing with a remote controlled plane, which is being flown by Cynthia. Grandpa is again, alseep and doesn't notice any of this going on. Chuckie is in the bathroom, playing with the toilet paper, he slips on a ball and falls over. Angelica meanwhile is chasing the plane with Cynthia in it and she ends up outside where we see Phil and Lil playing with bugs, Kimi in the sandbox and Susie jumping a rope. Didi comes out with cookies which the kids all run to, as this is happening Spike gets hold of the controls for the plane which crashes into the Angelica, who sends the cookies flying into the air. These spill over the screen and reveal the Rugrats logo.

General site questions...

I submitted something ages ago, why isn't it on your site yet?
The website is only updated in my spare time, therefore anything that has been submitted since the last update is saved up and added once I have time. Some things may take longer for me to add. For example if you send in a story, it will take me time to read it through to make sure the language etc is suitable for the site. If you submitted an idea for a site feature, it will have been put on a 'to do' list for the site and will be added in time.

[back]

Can I help you with the site?
If and when I need staff to help out with sections of the site I will advertise on the site, so please see the homepage for announcements and how to apply.

[back]

Why dont you have episodes to download/video clips etc?
Providing video clips and/or episodes for you to watch or download is a tricky thing because of copyright issues. Videos also require a lot of server space and I don't have the space to store them.

[back]

Will you put up transcripts of the episodes/movies/tales from the crib/preschool daze?
Transcripts are on the 'to do' list for the site. Especially for Preschool Daze and Tales from the Crib which are epsidoes many fans may not have seen. If you have an episode transcript that you have typed out, or you'd like to help with transcribing episodes for the site, please get in touch. (You'll get a transcribers credit on the site)

[back]

Do you run advertisements?
Nope! No ads here! I try to keep the site as family friendly as possible, so if you ever do see adverts they'll be ones to sites that are safe for kids.

[back]

Will you link to my website?
If you have a fansite about the Rugrats then of course I will! If you have another kind of website then I will only add it if it is 100% family friendly. That means it cannot contain anything that would be unsuitable for children, including any bad language. If you have a kid friendly site then I'd be happy to add your link to our kids links page. Just use the contact form to get in touch and I'll add the link the next time I update. Please select the 'Link' option from the drop down box.

[back]

Why doesn’t a feature work?
Some of the features (games etc.) use Flash, if you cannot see them you might need to download Flash Player which you can get for free from macromedia.com. Also some of the games use Java applets or script, so you need to make sure these are enabled on your browser in order to play. Most browsers have them turned on automatically. If you are unsure, ask an adult. If a feature is not working and it has no label indicating that it is currently offline then please email me and let me know.

[back]

Why doesn’t a link work?
It is very unusual that a link wouldn't work on the site. It could be that I am updating the page you are trying to look at. Try it again in a few minutes. If it still doesn't work, use the email form to let me know - please try to give as much detail as possible, such as the page the link was on. If the entire site does not work, this could be because the server is having problems, or because I have run out of bandwidth for the month. This isn't likely, but is possible.

[back]

Why is the site just a long list?
My site uses CSS (Cascading Style sheets) to tell your web browser what colours to show, where to display the content, what size font to use etc etc. If your browser doesnt support CSS it might show as a long list. This is easy to fix, just update your browser to the newest version. If you don't know how, ask an adult to do it for you.

[back]

How did you make the Picture Gallery? How can I use it on my own website/myspace page etc.
Our picture gallery runs off a script which is made by a company called 4images. It uses a database to store the pictures which makes it easier to manage and update. Because of this you need your own webspace that has a MySQL database installed on it if you want to put it on your own site. This means you can't put it on a myspace layout.

[back]

How do you make the site?
I make the website using a programming language called HTML, which is what websites are written in. Some of the pages also use PHP, which is a different kind of programming language that tells the site to get things from a database. It might sound complicated but it actually makes the site easier to manage and update!

[back]

Why are some of the words spelt wrong?
I live in England and we say and spell a lot of words differently than they do in other countries, like the US. For example in England we say 'colour' whereas it is 'color' in America - these words are pronounced the same in both countries, just spelled differently!

[back]

Why haven’t you replied to my email?
I get a lot of email every day. I try to respond as quickly as I can but sometimes I just have too much to do. Sometimes its because I don't know the answer to your question and I'm trying to find out for you. If I haven't replied in a couple of weeks, try sending another email.

[back]

Can you send me Rugrats stuff?
This is an UNOFFICIAL website. As such, I don't have any connection with Klasky Csupo, Viacom or Nickelodeon. I am not one of the characters, I do not work on the show. The short answer is no! I can't and won't be sending out merchandise, unless we have been running a competition. On a related note, please do NOT send me your personal addresses through email.

[back]

Can I send you pictures I have drawn?
If you've drawn a Rugrat picture you'd like to show in the Fan Drawings gallery, I'd be happy to put it up. Just email it to me. Just go to the Contact section (on the menu) and use the email form to let me know you have a picture you'd like to send in. Please select the 'Fan Drawing' option from thje drop down list. I'll email you back so you can send your drawing.

[back]

Can I send you pictures/sounds/info?
When sending me Rugrats images and sounds please make sure we don't already have them on the site. If you got them from another website please say so when you send them. When using things from other sites I like to get permission first. If it is something you got yourself which you would like me to put up, I'd be happy to and will credit you in full, either on the relevant page or in the 'Credits' section. Please email me about the file you are sending before you send it - I have a strict spam filter set up on all of my email accounts, including the ones for this site and so need to be expecting a file attachment from you. You can send me info on the Rugrats series or All Grown Up any time you like. It is always welcome!

[back]

Can I send you suggestions for things to add?
Of course you can. I always love getting new ideas from people! If your idea does not appear on the site straight away, dont worry, I'm probably working on it! If I have used something you've sent me on the site, look out for your name in the credits section (or possibly on the feature itself)

[back]

Can I use your crafts on my own site?
I would rather you didn't. Almost all of the crafts I have here are exclusive to this site and it takes me a lot of time to create them and the PDF files for you to download. If you really want to use one of the crafts, please email me and let me know where and how you will be using it. Please remember all crafts are provided FREE of charge and should not be used for profit in any way.

[back]

How do you make the Rugrats pictures?
I scan most of the Rugrats pictures on my site. The captures from the shows and movies were obtained using a TV device that lets you watch TV on your computer. None of these images belong to me, they are all copyrighted to Klasky-Csupo, Nickelodeon and Viacom. To make the specialised site graphics, I use Adobe Photoshop CS, Paint shop Pro and Adobe Illustrator CS using graphics I have scanned. Some of the non character based graphics I draw myself using the computer.

[back]

Why are your pictures tagged?
All pictures on my site that I obtained myself are tagged with my site name (Sarah's Rugrats), initials (SRR) or site address (www.sarahs-rugrats.co.uk or www.sarahs-rugrats.com) Some of the Dil images may be tagged Bananas about Baby Dil, BABD or the site address. This site also belongs me. I tag the images Iobtain myself because Ispend a lot of time scanning images, colour correcting them, editing out background colours and patterns, resizing and optimising them for the Internet. They are tagged to acknowledge the time I spend doing this. If you use them on your own site please DO NOT edit out the tags. If you do feel it necessary to do this please credit my site for the images you use. Any pictures on the site not tagged in this way were either donated by visitors (and so their origins are not known) or used from Nick.com or the Cooltoons (Klasky Csupo) website. These images are usually tagged to say so.

[back]

Can I write to the Rugrats characters or actors from your site?
Sorry, this is an unofficial site. I'm just a fan of the show. I made this site when I was younger to share my love of the show with othe fans. To get in touch with someone who works with the show try emailing someone from Nickelodeon or Klasky Csupo (via their websites)

[back]

Are you one of the Rugrats characters or actors?
No, I'm not, I'm just a fan of the show. I have nothing to do with the Rugrats, the actors who do the voices of the characters, or any of the companies who produce it.

[back]

Can I use the pictures from your site?
You can but please do not remove the tags. If you are going to remove the tags then please credit this site. Please save images to your own computer and upload them to your own webspace. My webspace is NOT FREE - I pay for it, so direct-linking to my images costs me money. Direct linking means you do not save the image, but use the address it is stored at on my server to show it on your own site. My server logs all traffic in and out of my site, if Icatch you direct linking to anything on my site I will ban you from viewing it.

[back]

Can you send me Rugrats pictures?
I can send you Rugrats pictures. BUT i get a lot of requests for pictures through email and it is much easier if you use the Gallery to get them yourself. We have one of the largest Rugrats picture galleries on the web so you should be able to find lots to choose from. If you have a special picture request, or need images larger for special projects or school work, then please email me and I'll see if I can help you.

Help with the site..

How do I use the t-shirt transfers?
T-shirt transfers are provided in PDF format. See 'How do i use PDF files?' Load your printer with the T-shirt transfer paper. Print the PDF file but when the print box comes up. Print only the last page (by typing the page number into the box) The transfer picture appears to be back to front but will appear the right way around on the t-shirt. You MUST print onto the transfer paper. The T-shirt MUST be blank and if possible white because this gives better results. Place the Transfer onto the side of the shirt you want it to appear on. Get a grown up to iron over the transfer for a few minutes.
